Upper stomach pain
Hi, I’ve been vomiting for the past few weeks, was admitted on 17th Dec and  discharge last Saturday with GERD diagnosis. Treated with controloc and zofran. I had unexplained fever during my admission. I did complained for stomach pain and the pain radiated to my back. Yesteday i had a very bad stomach pain. The GP suspected me with Cholecystitis and gave me a referral letter. How urgent do i need to see the specialist and in which area? And i did went to another clinic for ultrasound and it shows dilated gallbladder

Answer:
Given your history of vomiting, stomach pain radiating to the back, and the ultrasound findings of a dilated gallbladder, it is important to consider the possibility of cholecystitis. We strongly recommend seeing a specialist in general surgery ( hepatobiliary ) as soon as possible, as timely consultation is crucial for proper diagnosis and management.
Please do walk in to our emergency department, especially if your symptoms worsen or if you experience fever, increased pain, or jaundice, as these could indicate complications requiring urgent attention.
