Redness of eyes
Hi, I have visible redness in the whites of the eyes sclera. A persistent urge to rub the eyes. Feeling as if the eyes are burning or stinging. Please give me some advice regarding this.

Answer:
Hi, the symptoms you're experiencing—redness in the whites of the eyes, a persistent urge to rub them, and a burning or stinging sensation—could be caused by conditions such as conjunctivitis, dry eye syndrome, allergies, or blepharitis. We recommend avoiding rubbing your eyes. We would also recommend you to use lubricating eye drops, and apply a cool compress to help ease discomfort. However, to accurately diagnose the cause and receive appropriate treatment, we suggest scheduling an appointment with one of our ophthalmologists.
