Mastectomy and Breast Reconstruction
Hello. I just had right breast mastectomy and immediate breast reconstruction using LD flap in February in Japan. I currently work in Malaysia and am looking to see 2 things. 1. I want to find a hospital I can come to in case I get some complications with reconstruction part. (Such as infection or seroma, it has been more than a month since the surgery and no such complications so far)I have referral letter in English from my doctor in Japan. 2. I have documents from hospital in Japan for Hospitalization leave approval, and my company requires to get verification on these by Malaysian doctor. Can I ask you to verify these documents? They are in English.

Answer:

We understand the importance of continuing care and ensuring that your health remains a top priority following your mastectomy and immediate breast reconstruction.

  1. Post-Surgery Care and Consultation:
Given that you are more than a month post-surgery without any complications so far, we suggest that you consult a Plastic Surgeon who can review the current condition of your breast reconstruction. Should you experience any complications such as infection or seroma, our specialists are here to assist. Additionally, if you would prefer a consultation with a Breast Surgeon to further assess your overall health after the procedure, we would be happy to facilitate that as well.

  2. Document Verification:
For the verification of your hospitalization leave documents from your hospital in Japan, you will first need to consult with one of our doctors. After the consultation, the doctor will assess your case and determine if the necessary verification can be provided as required by your company.

Please let us know if you would like to schedule an appointment with one of our specialists or if you have any further questions regarding your care. We are here to help and ensure your peace of mind as you continue your recovery journey.
