Kidneys are important to the body because their main function is to remove waste products from the blood and regulate water fluid levels in the body.

Due to this important function and the exposure to toxins, the kidneys are susceptible to many problems, such as kidney stones, kidney failure, urinary tract infections, and chronic kidney disease.

At Pantai Hospital Sungai Petani, our Haemodialysis Centre is dedicated to providing optimal dialysis and care to patients so that they can be fully rehabilitated to live a lifestyle that is as normal. You are in good hands with our trained and compassionate Nephrologist and nursing staff.

We strive to always provide our patients with comfort, which is why our Haemodialysis Centre is located at the Ground Floor of the Hospital for better and convenient access. We operate three shifts from 6:00 am to 9:30 pm, 6 days a week including public holidays. After hours, an on-call team will be on standby for any emergency cases.

We have 18 dialysis treatment bays serving both inpatients and outpatients, and we specially designate 1 dialysis treatment bay for isolation cases (Hepatitis C). We also have a Haemodiafiltration (HDF) machine that caters to the individualised dialysis treatment; it will enhance the patients’ experience and clinical outcome.

A reliable and efficient Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Purification System has been installed to ensure the delivery of safe and good quality dialysate to the clients. Only Bicarbonate Dialysis is performed here. Specialised services include Acute haemodialyiss, Chronic haemodialysis, haemodiafiltration (HDF), and Sustained Low-Efficiency Dialysis (SLED).
